The event "Modern IT Solutions for the Cities of the Future within the NetZeroCities Project" took place on August 18, 2025. The event, held at the Energy Efficiency Center, was organized by the Rivne City Council, the Department of Economic Development of the Rivne City Council, the National University of Water Management and Nature Management, and the NGO "NetZero Ukraine." The moderator was Andriy Grytsevych, the head of the NGO "Net Zero Ukraine."
The goal of the event was to familiarize participants with the experience of implementing modern IT solutions for monitoring energy consumption and achieving climate neutrality.
During the event, the NetZeroCities project and the role of Rivne as the only Ukrainian participant were presented. Special attention was paid to the "Profit" system — an online energy consumption monitoring system for public buildings. After the presentation, a discussion took place regarding the possibilities of implementing such IT solutions in other communities and the role of digitalization in achieving sustainable development goals.
Rivne plans to create a "digital city," where all resources and sectors will be digitized and reflected in the form of publicly available data. This will enhance investor confidence, as it will allow for modeling and planning infrastructure transformation.
