In October 2025, a series of scientific and informational events for Ukrainian scientists, educators, graduate students, librarians, and publishing professionals is planned. The events are dedicated to current issues in the field of open science, new opportunities from the EIFL Ukraine Consortium, challenges, and innovations in the ISSN system.

October 1, 2025 – Scientific and practical online seminar "Identification of Ukrainian scientific serial publications and other continuing resources in the ISSN system under martial law"
The scientific and practical online seminar is dedicated to issues concerning the functioning of the ISSN system in Ukraine under the conditions of Russian armed aggression and cooperation with the International ISSN Center. It will also address the issues related to serial publications that were forced to cease issuance in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, continued issuance in Ukrainian-controlled territory, or in temporarily occupied territories. Additionally, changes to the Guidelines for Identifying Serial Publications and other continuing resources in the ISSN system will be discussed.

October 9, 2025 – Webinar "Resources from Oxford University Press for Ukraine – opportunities from EIFL"
The webinar is dedicated to the opportunities available to members of the EIFL project. In particular, 14 diverse resources from Oxford UP, including Oxford Medicine Online – a comprehensive medical knowledge base; Oxford Research Encyclopedias – authoritative encyclopedic resources; Oxford Scholarship Online – a leading platform for academic monographs; Oxford Clinical Psychology Online – specialized content for psychologists and many other valuable resources.

October 22-23, 2025 – 4th International Conference 'Open Science and Innovations'
During the event, key challenges will be discussed, including ensuring sustainable and uninterrupted access to research infrastructure, open access to research results, improving the evaluation system of scientific activity, and adapting national policy to the requirements and practices of the European Union in the field of open science, including standards for sharing research data, etc.
Among the key speakers are renowned international experts and Ukrainian specialists.
The conference will be held online, with simultaneous translation into English.
