From November 5 to 7, 2025, the seventh and final meeting of the participants in the Erasmus+ KA2 AFISHE project "Development of Education in Aquaculture and Fisheries for the Green Deal in Armenia and Ukraine: From Education to Ecology" took place in sunny and hospitable Yerevan. This event became a kind of conclusion to three years of fruitful cooperation of the international consortium and a platform for summarizing joint efforts.
Our university was represented at the meeting by the professors of the Institute of Aquatic Ecology — the project leader from NUWMP,Yuliya Grokhovska, and team members,Sergiy Konontsev and Olga Bedunkova,, who were directly involved in all stages of the work.
During the plenary sessions at the Armenian National Agrarian University, partners from universities in Armenia, Ukraine, Croatia, Slovakia, and Portugal presented the results of completed tasks, agreed on the structure of the final report, and outlined areas of cooperation after the project’s completion. It was noted that the main goals of the project were achieved and all planned activities were successfully implemented.
A particularly valuable outcome was the conclusion of agreements on further cooperation between NUWMP and partner universities.. In particular, joint scientific research has already been conducted and articles published in international peer-reviewed journals with the Slovak Agricultural University and the Armenian National Agrarian University.
The final meeting in Yerevan became not an ending, but rather a new starting point — for continuing joint research, academic exchange, and preparing a new generation of specialists capable of responding to the challenges of modern environmentally-oriented aquaculture. and fish farming.
