Guest Lecture on the AFISHE Project
On May 8, 2025, a guest lecture by Gayane Marmaryan, Doctor of Biological Sciences (Biochemistry) from the Department of Biological Sciences and General Chemistry at the Armenian National Agrarian University; expert of the AFISHE project; expert on the accreditation process of higher educational institutions in Armenia, took place at NUWEE.
The lecture was on the topic 'Flavor Compounds in Food'. The lecturer introduced the audience to the classification and origin of flavorings in food, the chemical structure of flavor compounds, and their importance in improving the quality of food products. Doctor Gayane Marmaryan talked about the composition of popular beverages (coffee, tea, cocoa), the biochemical reactions that occur during food processing, and how this affects taste.
The lecture was attended by 35 teachers and students from NUWEE, Bila Tserkva National Agrarian University (Bila Tserkva), Drohobych State Pedagogical University (Drohobych), and others.
