As part of the Science Festival at NUVHP, on May 10, 2023, a webinar was held with students majoring in 'Water Bioresources and Aquaculture' - presenting the AFISHE grant project 'Development of Education in the Field of Aquaculture and Fisheries for the Green Course in Armenia and Ukraine: from Education to Ecology' in which our university participates.
Professor of the Department of Water Bioresources Hrakhovska Y.R. spoke about the project in the form of a presentation - what to expect from the project's implementation for NUVHP and how it relates to students of the specialty. Among the plans are an updated master's program, developed teaching and educational materials, modernized infrastructure - funds are allocated for the purchase of new equipment for the aquaculture laboratory, and training and retraining courses for specialists will be launched based on NUVHP. She also reported on the prospect of implementing dual diplomas with participating universities from the EU.
Professor of the Department of Water Bioresources Konontsev S.V. introduced students to the new specialization that is planned to be included in the updated master's training program.
The graduate of the specialty, assistant of the Department of Water Bioresources Parfeniuk I.O., who is currently undergoing an internship in Germany, joined the discussion on the grant project and the prospects for the development of the specialty.
Students were invited to join the scientific work of the department within the existing areas and on new topics, which will be related to the creation of an intensive aquaculture laboratory as part of the AFISHE project.
