Current meeting of the grant project working group
On October 6, 2023, a meeting of the working group for the AFISHE project "Development of Education in Aquaculture and Fishing for the Green Course in Armenia and Ukraine: from Education to Ecology" took place, where current issues of project implementation were discussed.
The project manager from NUWGP, Yulia Grokhovska, reported on the completed work and future plans. In particular, the next stage involves the execution of a work package for which our university is responsible, concerning human resources development and aimed at training teachers and staff. Organizing training sessions at EU universities is one of the main tasks of the AFISHE project. Training on selected project modules is planned to take place in March 2024 at three European universities: the University of Dubrovnik (Croatia), the University of Porto (Portugal), and the Slovak Agricultural University in Nitra.
The director of the Institute of Aquaculture and Aquatic Resources, Alla Pryshchepa, clarified the list of modules and academic staff who plan to undergo training at EU universities, and reported on meetings held with stakeholders in the educational process in preparing specialists in this field.
The head of the grant work sector, Alla Kuchnova, reported on the results of the successful completion of official approval of the documentary part of the project and the successful completion of the state registration process of the grant project.
Professor of the Department of Ecology, TZN and LG, Olga Bedunkova, reported on the implementation of the communication plan and information dissemination for the first half of the project and presented the next planned events for disseminating information about the project to the scientific audience and in the media.
The head of the Department of Aquatic Biological Resources, Tetiana Poltavchenko, spoke about the process of approving the updated educational program, which is already posted on the NUWGP website for discussion and reviews by external stakeholders during the current month, and outlined issues related to the existing and prospective student enrollment.
Professor of the Department of Aquatic Biological Resources, Serhii Konontsev, informed about the state of preparation of the premises and organization of equipment procurement for the aquaculture laboratory and the conduct of the tender.
