On September 25, 2023, an online meeting took place with the project coordinator of AFISHE 'Development of Education in Aquaculture and Fisheries for the Green Course in Armenia and Ukraine: from Education to Ecology' Garegin Ambarcumyan, during which issues regarding the organization of training for teachers from Armenia and Ukraine at EU universities were discussed.
Representatives from the Armenian National Agrarian University and the Scientific Center for Zoology and Hydroecology, the University of Dubrovnik (Croatia), the University of Porto (Portugal), and Sumy National Agrarian University were present at the meeting. From NUVHP, project manager Yuliya Grokhovska and professor of the Department of Aquatic Bioresources Serhiy Konontsev attended.
The project coordinator noted that the upcoming in-person meeting within the project, which was scheduled for November, has been postponed to March of next year due to the war in Ukraine and Armenia.
During the meeting, the modules for the training sessions and their scheduled times were agreed upon with European colleagues. Training on the main modules of the project will be conducted by three universities, including the University of Dubrovnik, the University of Porto, and the Slovak Agricultural University in Nitra. EU partners announced that in the coming days they will present the final list of modules they can organize at their universities.
The organization of training sessions at EU universities is one of the main tasks of the AFISHE project. NUVHP is the leader of the work package related to human resource development and is intended for training teachers and staff.
