The Quality Council of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Agroecology and Land Management took place in a mixed format in April 2023, attended by guarantors of educational programs and heads of departments.
According to the agenda, the first item for consideration and discussion was the information presented by PhD in Agricultural Sciences, Professor Yulia Grokhovska regarding the measures currently being actively implemented within the framework of the international grant project. Yulia Grokhovska, who serves as the coordinator of the grant team from the National University of Water Management and Nature Resources Use, familiarized the attendees with the goals of project implementation, its overall structure, and a list of countries whose representatives are performing project tasks. The speaker paid special attention to the formulation of the content of the educational program for master's students studying the specialty Water Bioresources. In particular, the focus was emphasized on the educational program implemented at our university. Additionally, Yulia Grokhovska presented summarized results of meetings with stakeholders and representatives of Sumy National Agrarian University concerning the improvement of the educational program in terms of enhancing professional competencies and learning outcomes. The speaker also shared information regarding the overall budget of the project and plans to establish a laboratory for industrial fisheries at our university, which has already taken initial organizational steps.
The second item was the review of proposals for studying the educational discipline 'Innovative Entrepreneurship and Startup Management,' presented by PhD in Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor Zinaida Budnik.
The director of the institute, PhD in Agricultural Sciences, Professor Alla Pryshchepa familiarized members of the Scientific and Methodological Council on Quality with the results of a selective analysis of current and final knowledge control of students from the 1st semester of the 2022-2023 academic year, which was conducted and processed by the Quality Department of NUVHP. This information received increased attention from the guarantors of educational programs, as it outlined the issues of student success in passing the knowledge control procedure, reflecting both the level of knowledge acquisition and assimilation, as well as the effectiveness of the teaching forms and methods used by the academic and pedagogical staff in the educational process.
During the meeting, time was also devoted to the approval of reports on faculty professional development, as well as the review and approval of methodological guidelines, working programs, manuals, textbooks, and practical sessions.
