AFISHE: training sessions at the Slovak Agricultural University
The lecturers of NNIAG had a busy and interesting first week at the Slovak University.
Meetings with Slovak and Armenian participants of the AFISHE project turned out to be substantial and informative. Every day, classes were held in groups focused on the technical equipment of fish farming and the fundamentals of scientific research.
Our lecturers (Professor of the Department of Ecology, TSNS and LG, Doctor of Biological Sciences Olga Biedunkova, Associate Professor of the Department of Aquatic Bioresources, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences Alina Petryk, Associate Professor of the Department of Land Planning, Cadastre, Land Monitoring and Geoinformatics, Candidate of Technical Sciences Vasyl Korbutiak) had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the work experience of Slovak scientists. Significant attention was paid to the issues of state support for the fish farming industry in the AFISHE partner countries, as well as the use of artificial water bodies or fish farming in special conditions, such as fish farms, which allows for the control of fish living conditions and maximizes their growth and development. The tools for motivating students to engage in scientific activities, the application of innovative teaching methods, and issues of academic integrity were also discussed.
The discussions during the classes were effective, during which the lecturers from NUVHP, the National Agrarian University of Armenia, and the Slovak Agricultural University in Nitra presented their vision for the further development and improvement of the implementation of educational programs in the field of aquatic bioresources and aquaculture.
