Department of Information Law and Legal Journalism
According to the order of the rector of the National University of Water Management and Nature Resources dated August 22, 2024, No. 576, as part of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law.
The Department of Information Law and Legal Journalism, which operates within the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law and Humanities of the National University of Water Management and Nature Resources, meets the demands of the times and the challenges of the modern information society.
Educational programs and specialties
The department's activities are focused on the implementation of two key educational and professional programs (EPP) that correspond to the modern challenges of the information society and the needs of the labor market:
«Media Law and Media Securitythis program prepares specialists who possess knowledge in the field of media regulation of information relations, data protection, copyright, and media security. Graduates will be able to work as consultants for media, media security specialists, and government experts.
«Analytical Journalism and Communicationsthe program aims to train qualified journalists who can work with large volumes of information, conduct in-depth analysis, create quality analytical materials, and effectively communicate with the audience. This will enable them to work in leading media, analytical centers, and PR agencies.
Both programs are implemented within the specialty of 'Journalism'.
Mission and Prospects
The establishment of the department is a response to society's need for specialists capable of navigating the complex world of information. The Department of Information Law and Legal Journalism sets an ambitious goal to become one of the leading centers for training highly qualified personnel who will contribute to the development of Ukraine's media space and the formation of media culture in the information environment.
