RESEARCH OF THE DEPARTMENT
The main direction of the department's research is the research work "JOURNALISTIC ACTIVITY IN CRISIS SITUATIONS: WARS, CONFLICTS, CATASTROPHES», which is registered in UkrINTEL. The topic has a state registration number 0124U004789 and is relevant in today's world.
The head is the chair of the department, Doctor of Sciences in Social Communications, Professor Olha Mitchuk. The research is aimed at studying the peculiarities of journalists' work during military conflicts, emergencies, and other crisis events, which allows for the development of effective working methods, ensures the professional safety of media workers, and improves the quality of information presentation in challenging conditions.
SCIENTIFIC CLUB "MediaTruth in MediaSafety"
To engage students in scientific activities at the department, the scientific club "MediaTruth in MediaSafety" operates. Its activity was approved by the rector's order No. 754 dated October 29, 2024.
The club serves as a platform for higher education seekers, where they conduct their own research under the guidance of teachers, discuss relevant scientific issues, and participate in conferences. This helps students deepen their knowledge on information security and the truthfulness of information, develop analytical skills, and prepare for their future scientific or professional careers.
