MEDIA CENTER
The media center for journalism students is an innovative space that combines the functions of a teaching laboratory, an editorial office, and a production studio. Its main goal is to provide journalism students with practical experience necessary for working in modern media. This is a place where theory meets practice, and academic knowledge is transformed into real projects.

LEARNING USING ELEMENTS OF DUAL EDUCATION
Dual education is an educational model that combines deep theoretical training at the university with intensive practice at enterprises, in our case, in media companies, government structures, media holdings, and editorial offices. This is a key tool for modernizing education and bringing it closer to labor market needs.

NON-FORMAL EDUCATION
Non-formal education is training that occurs outside the official, institutionalized system but is extremely effective. It complements the theoretical foundation by providing practical skills necessary in the dynamic media sphere. Trainings, internships, webinars, and participation in real projects help future professionals master new technologies, develop 'soft' skills (critical thinking and teamwork), as well as deepen specialization in certain areas, including data journalism or cybersecurity. This experience makes graduates competitive in the job market.

The department offers non-formal education training for the program "Legal Journalism." This program has produced 9 graduates.

Academic mobility is an opportunity for a student to study, intern, or conduct research at another educational or scientific institution both in Ukraine and abroad. For students majoring in "Journalism" within the educational program "Media Law and Media Security," this is not just an advantage, but a key element of modern education that allows them to gain unique experience and increase competitiveness.

According to the Law of Ukraine "On Higher Education," the Regulation "On Academic Mobility of Higher Education Applicants" of Sumy State University, within the framework of the bilateral Agreement on Cooperation between Sumy State University and the National University of Water Management and Nature Management under the program dated April 18, 2025, No. 21/54.16-2025m, and the Agreement on the Implementation of the Internal Academic Mobility Program dated September 24, 2025.
