Branches

The branches of the Department of Information Law and Legal Journalism represent an innovative model that combines theoretical education with real professional experience. Established by the order of the rector of NUWGP No. 464 dated July 10, 2025, these structural units operate based on the editorial office of the newspaper 'Rivne Vechirnie' and the Rivne Regional Organization of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine. Their main goal is to improve the quality of training specialists, ensure the practical orientation of the educational process, and integrate scientific developments into media practice.

Main areas of activity
The operation of the branches covers three key areas that complement each other:

Educational activities
The branches serve as a unique platform where students acquire invaluable practical skills. Students have the opportunity to attend lectures and seminars conducted by leading practitioners working in real conditions. Here, future journalists and media experts undergo training, production, and pre-diploma internships, allowing them to immerse themselves fully in the professional environment, apply their acquired knowledge, and prepare for work.

Methodological work
Collaboration with practitioners extends to the development of educational programs. Representatives of the branches participate in updating curriculum plans, developing methodological materials and textbooks. This ensures that educational programs meet modern labor market requirements and take into account current trends in the media industry.

Scientific Work
The branches are also a hub for scientific research activities. They become a platform for conducting joint scientific studies, enabling students and faculty to work on current issues of journalism and media law.

Management and principles
Overall management of the branches is carried out by the head of the department. Direct management of the branches' operations is entrusted to responsible persons appointed from among the leading specialists of media organizations.
