The Department of Marketing actively develops international cooperation, participating as a co-organizer and participant in international scientific-practical conferences, round tables, business trainings, and exchange programs.
Within the framework of international agreements of NUVHP on cooperation, the head of the Department of Marketing, Ph.D., Professor Malchik M.V. has repeatedly participated in international academic exchanges, particularly in lecture delivery programs abroad.
In 2018, Professor Malchik M.V., and associate professors Popko O.V. and Martyniuk O.V. completed international internships under the 'Marketing' program at the Social Academy of Sciences (Lodz, Republic of Poland). In 2016, senior lecturer Korotun O.P. interned at the International Institute of Innovations 'Science - Education - Development' (Warsaw, Republic of Poland).
As part of the project 'Visegrad Urban Creativity Clusters Network' (Visegrad grant No. 21650010), senior lecturer Oplachko I.O. participated in an international expedition to Central European countries in 2018, aiming at education and experience exchange in the field of creative industries. Students from the department, Makarchuk P. and Mykhasyuk V., joined the implementation of events of this grant project as volunteers.
In 2023, Professor Malchik M.V. underwent training on the topic 'Multidisciplinary challenges in contemporary science: innovations and collaboration' (Republic of Poland, 30 hours / 1 ECTS credit), confirmed by the certificate from Futurity Research Publishing dated 15.09.2023 (protocol of the quality control committee of the NNIEM No. 6 dated 30.11.2023).
Professor of the Department of Marketing, Ph.D. Popko O.V. also completed further training abroad — under the program 'Innovative Educational Technologies: European Experience and Its Implementation in Training Specialists in Economics and Management' (specialty 075 'Marketing', 180 hours / 6 ECTS credits) from 13.02.2023 to 26.03.2023, at the Baltic Research Institute of Transformation Economic Area Problems (Riga, Latvia). Confirmed by certificate Serija C No. 202303102 dated 28.04.2023 (protocol of the quality control committee of the NNIEM No. 9 dated 15.06.2023).
In 2023, Ph.D. Professor Malchik M.V. and Ph.D. associate professor Oplachko I.O. underwent training on the topic 'Funding Participation in International Networking through COST Actions' (180 hours, 6 ECTS credits) at the Scientific Center of Innovative Research (Pussi, Estonia) from 10.11.2023 to 15.12.2023. The results of the training were confirmed by corresponding certificates dated 15.12.2023.
In 2025, associate professor of the Department of Marketing, Ph.D. Korotun O.P. completed an international internship at the 4-star hotel AQUAMARINE (Obzor, Bulgaria) under the program 'Marketing in Tourism and Hospitality Industry' (180 hours / 6 ECTS credits, certificate No. C0109 dated 28.03.2025).
Students of the 'Marketing' specialty actively participate in international educational and scientific events — lectures, seminars, round tables conducted by foreign business trainers and scientists. In particular, student Makarchuk P. was a participant in the international seminar 'Conscious Means of Mass Communication', organized by Fundacja Sądecka (Nowy Sącz, Republic of Poland, 08–16.09.2017).
In 2020, teams of students from the 'Marketing' specialty — 'MRT' (students of 4–6 years and graduate students under the guidance of Professor Malchik M.V.) and 'Advertising Lions' (2nd-year students under the guidance of Associate Professor Martyniuk O.V.) participated in the international creative tournament 'Advertising Polygon'. As a result of the competition, the 'MRT' team won the grand prize.
In 2022, second-year students Daria Ilchuk and Kateryna Stafiichuk participated in the project of the Ukrainian-Polish Youth Exchange Council No. UKR/2022/W/0084 'From Dnipro to Odra we float and save' (coordinator — Associate Professor I.O. Oplachko), during which they underwent training in water rescue and first aid (Slava, Republic of Poland, 05–09.09.2022).
In 2022, the 'Advertising Lions' student team (participants — Valentina Khomych, Olga Halaychuk, Andriy Smilyanets) won the hackathon of creative industries 'Town and Gown 2.0: university and city cooperation'.
On November 30, 2022, an online meeting took place between students and lecturers of the Marketing program at the National University of Water Management and Nature Management and representatives from Oxford University titled ONLINE MEETING 'EDUCATION AND RESEARCH AT OXFORD UNIVERSITY: OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS.' Speakers included Marnie Howlett, political scientist and methodologist (Department of Politics & International Relations); Svitlana Slava, Visiting Scholar (Department of Politics & International Relations); Lala Zinkevych, MSc Comparative Social Policy; Ruslan Pavlyshyn, MPhil in Islamic Studies and History, President of Oxford University Ukrainian Society. They discussed the specifics of studying and the prospects for conducting scientific research by students and lecturers at Oxford.
In 2023, the works of students from the Marketing program at the National University of Water Management and Nature Management won top awards in various nominations at the 17th Ukrainian Student Advertising Festival. First places in various nominations were awarded to Valentina Khomych (4th year) and Bohdan Yakymyuk (1st year), and the 3rd place was taken by the competition work of Dmytro Ilyuchka (3rd year). The consultants and supervisors of the competition works were Ph.D., Associate Professor Iryna Oplachko and Ph.D., Associate Professor Oksana Martyniuk.
On June 28-29, 2023, at the all-Ukrainian creative battle 'Advertising Polygon' (summer 2023), organized by the Ukrainian Advertising Association and the Educational and Scientific Institute of Journalism of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, and in cooperation with the Association of Marketers of Ukraine, the official partners being one of the largest Ukrainian pharmaceutical corporations 'Arterium' and the retail chain 'Dnipro-M', teams of students specializing in Marketing at the National University of Water Management and Nature Management achieved victories according to the brief from the official project partner 'Dnipro-M': 1st place was won by the team 'Advertising Lions' comprising 4th-year students Yelyzaveta Nahonryuk, Oleksandra Kadira, Valentina Khomych, Olha Halaychuk, and Andrii Smilyanets. Scientific supervisor - Ph.D., Associate Professor Iryna Oplachko; 3rd place – team 'MRT jun' consisting of first-year students Sofia Lakomska, Anna Tymoshchuk, Bohdan Yakymyuk, Dmytro Ilyuchka, and Kateryna Demchyshyna. Scientific supervisor - Ph.D., Associate Professor Oksana Martyniuk.
In September 2023, as part of the implementation of the grant project from the Ukrainian-Polish Council of Exchange, 2nd-year marketing students of NUVHP Viktoriya Chmunevych and Karina Fedyushko, as part of a delegation of students from NUVHP and RETFK under the guidance of professors-mentors Viktor Demianyuk - Director of RETFK and Maryana Malchyk - Head of the Department of Marketing NUVHP had a trip to Glogow, Poland. 18 students of various specialties ("Marketing," "Computer Science," "Tourism," "Information Activity of Enterprises," etc.) under the program "Journ Artist. FM: Youth Creative Industries and Journalism Training" together with 18 students of the first general education lyceum named after Boleslaw Krivoustov in Glogow participated in interesting round tables, trainings, field classes aimed at developing creative skills, abilities, creative thinking, and copywriting arts.
In 2023, teachers and PhD students from the Marketing program of NUVH took part in the International Scientific Conference on Environmental Sustainability in Natural Resources Management (ISCES 2023). The academic platforms of the conference included: Green, Digital and Resilient Economy, Natural Resources Management, Environmental Sustainability and Engineering Management.
In 2023, students of the specialty "Marketing" at the National University of Water Management and Nature Management submitted their works for participation in the 9th Kharkiv Student Advertising Festival 2023 in the nomination "Outdoor Advertising," including Valentyna Khomysh, Mariian Syryk, Iryna Kravchuk, Oleksandra Kadyra, Yelyzaveta Nahorniuk (5th year), Dmytro Iliuchka (4th year), Illya Havron (1st year), Sofia Lakomska, Anna Tymoshchuk, Bohdan Yakymyuk, Kateryna Pashynska, Karina Fedyushko, Chmunevych Viktoriya, Fursyak Dmytro, Grebіnevych Anna, Melnychuk Vadym, Husaruk Ruslan (2nd year) under the guidance of the head of the Department of Marketing NUVHP, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Prof. Maryana Malchyk, Ph.D., Assoc. Prof. Iryna Oplachko, Ph.D., Assoc. Prof. Oksana Martyniuk. As a result of the competition: First place in the nomination "Outdoor Advertising" was won by creative 2nd-year students Anna Tymoshchuk and Sofia Lakomska (supervisor - Assoc. Prof. Oksana Martyniuk); Third place was achieved by the team of talented students from the 1st and 4th years Illya Havron and Dmytro Iliuchka (supervisor - Assoc. Prof. Iryna Oplachko); Third place was also won by creative 2nd-year student Kateryna Pashynska (supervisor - Assoc. Prof. Oksana Martyniuk).
In 2024, at the 18th Ukrainian Student Advertising Festival, students majoring in 'Marketing' from the National University of Water Management and Nature Management participated individually and as a team under the guidance of advisors M. Malychik, Z. Tolchanova, O. Martyniuk, and I. Oplachko. The participating students were Valentyna Khomyč (5th year), Marian Syryk (5th year), Oleksandr Kadyra (5th year), Yelyzaveta Nahorniuk (5th year), Dmytro Ilyuchok (4th year), Bohdan Yakymyuk (2nd year), Anna Tymoshchuk (2nd year), Sofia Lakomska (2nd year), Yuliya Yakobchuk (1st year), and Illya Havron (1st year). The winners of the festival, based on the evaluation of a highly professional jury, were: 2nd place in the 'Outdoor Advertising' nomination - Dmytro Ilyuchok and Illya Havron (supervised by Assoc. Prof. Iryna Oplachko); 2nd place in the 'Internet Advertising' nomination - Sofia Lakomska and Anna Tymoshchuk (supervised by Assoc. Prof. Oksana Martyniuk); 2nd place in the partner nomination 'Skilled Occupations - the Engine of the Economy' - Dmytro Ilyuchok and Illya Havron (supervised by Assoc. Prof. Iryna Oplachko).
In 2024, teachers and graduate students of the 'Marketing' specialty at the National University of Water Management and Nature Management participated in the International Scientific and Practical Conference 'International Conference on Agricultural, Biodiversity and Environmental Economics' (Bulgaria, June 13, 2024).
From September 15-21, 2024, within the framework of the international grant project of the Polish-Ukrainian Youth Exchange Council under number UKR/2024/W/0025 titled 'Bridges of History - on Knightly Paths', our students participated in educational events that enriched their experience. Second-year students Valeriya Savonyuk, Yuliya Yakobchuk, and Kateryna Rud' represented the 'Marketing' specialty of the National University of Water Management and Nature Management as part of the student delegation on a trip to the 1st General Educational Lyceum named after Bolesław Krzywousty in Glogów, Republic of Poland.
On December 20, 2024, students of the Marketing program at the National University of Water Management and Nature Management participated in the Student Social Advertising Competition during the International Conference 'Majesty of Marketing' organized by NTU 'Dniprovska Polytechnic', the Ukrainian Marketing Association, and the NGO 'Innovative University', achieving 1st place in the category 'Printed Advertising' - Havron Illia (MAR-21), Ilyuchka Dmytro (MAR-51m) under the guidance of Ph.D., Associate Professor Iryna Oplachko; 3rd place in the category 'Video Advertising' - Tymoshchuk Anna (MAR-31) under the guidance of Ph.D., Associate Professor Oksana Martyniuk.
On March 26, 2025, representatives of the Department of Marketing at the National University of Water Management and Nature Management (Ph.D., Assoc. Prof. Korotun O.P. and Assistant Khomyč V.M.) participated in an English-language online webinar on the topic 'Eureka opportunities for the Ukrainian stakeholders'. The webinar discussed how Ukrainian scientists and entrepreneurs can attract international funding for innovative projects.
On March 28, 2025, students of the 'Marketing' specialty at the National University of Water Management and Nature Management participated in the 19th Ukrainian Student Advertising Festival under the auspices of the Ukrainian Advertising Coalition, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, and received awards:

On April 24-25, 2025, Svetlana Melnyk, a master's student from the Marketing Department of the Institute of Postgraduate Education at the National University of Water Management and Nature Resources, along with her scientific supervisor—Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor of the Marketing Department Malychik Maryana Vasylivna, won II place in the International Student Research Competition in Marketing organized by the State University of Intellectual Technologies and Communication. The research topic was "The Influence of Personal Branding on LinkedIn on Decision-Making Processes in the B2B Segment."
From October 14-17, 2025, students of the Marketing specialty at the National University of Water Management and Nature Resources competed in the area of advertising creativity and marketing strategy in the All-Ukrainian creative battle "Advertising Polygon," organized by the Association of Advertisers of Ukraine since 2012. 22 teams from various universities in Ukraine participated, including 4 teams of Marketing students from NUVHP: "MRT" (supervisor—Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Korotun O.P.) consisting of: Dolzhenytsia Maria, Dorodnova Angelica, Hudovsek Sofia, Panasyuk Danylo, Savchuk Zlata, Vlasik Roman; "Advertising Lions" (supervisor—Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Pastushenko O.V.) consisting of: Tymoshchuk Anna, Lakomska Sofia, Pashynska Kateryna, Yakymyuk Bohdan; "DeepWave Marketing" (supervisor—Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Pastushenko O.V.) consisting of: Ilyuchok Dmytro, Havron Ilya, Bushovska Lyubov, Chernobay Angelina; "Mar Lioness" (supervisor—Doctor of Economics, Professor Malychik M.V.) consisting of: Bohdanova Daryna, Rak Iryna, Rud Yekaterina, Savoniuk Valeriya, Stakhnyuk Natalia, Kuzminchuk Anna. In a fierce competition, the "DeepWave Marketing" team made it to the shortlist and earned an honorable III place among the best student teams in Ukraine.
