The educational and scientific laboratory of legal engineering is the successor to the educational and scientific laboratory of legal informatics and was established by the decision of the Academic Council of NULWGP on January 29, 2021.
In its activities, the educational and scientific laboratory of legal engineering of the Institute of Law and Humanities of the University is guided by the legislation of Ukraine: the Law of Ukraine 'On Education' dated September 5, 2017, No. 2145-VIII, the Law of Ukraine 'On Higher Education' dated July 1, 2014, No. 1556-VII, the Decree of the President of Ukraine 'On the National Strategy for the Development of Education in Ukraine for the Period up to 2021' No. 344/2013 dated June 25, 2013, the Charter of the National University of Water Management and Nature Management, and the Regulation 'On the Educational and Scientific Laboratory of Legal Engineering of the Institute of Law and Humanities of the National University of Water Management and Nature Management,' approved by the Academic Council of the University and put into effect by the order of the rector of the University.

    The goal of the Educational and Scientific Laboratory of Legal Engineering of the Institute of Law and Humanities of the University is:

• to carry out scientific, scientific and technical, and scientific organizational activities;
• to promote the improvement of the quality of training for legal education seekers by ensuring a close link between scientific research and the educational process of the Institute of Law and Humanities;
• to enhance the level of theoretical and practical knowledge, skills, and abilities of students in legal specialties;
• to provide additional opportunities for scientific research for scientific and pedagogical staff of the Institute of Law and Humanities;
• to conduct scientific research in the field of digitization of legal activities, as well as to process, systematize, and visualize legal information;
• to expand cooperation of the Institute of Law and Humanities of the National University of Water Management and Nature Management with courts, law enforcement agencies, the justice system, government authorities, and local governments, as well as with other institutions and organizations.

The laboratory's activities contribute to the popularization among higher education seekers of the ideas of digitization of social and managerial processes, particularly in the legal sphere:
• A legal informatics club operates under the laboratory. Club participants conduct research on the application of modern information technologies in legal activities. The result of the club's activities is a collection of scientific papers titled 'Legal Informatization: Current State and Development Prospects.'
• All students and staff of the Institute of Law and Humanities can use the information and legal system 'Law of Ukraine' for free; for this, they only need a corporate email for registration.
• An electronic library of the NNIHPG is created and regularly updated with educational materials and textbooks.
• The information system 'Applicant', developed in the laboratory, analyzes questionnaires from high school graduates for further career guidance and invites future applicants to study at NUWGP and NNIHPG in particular.
• Using the Google Sheet platform, an internal electronic individual plan for NNIHPG lecturers has been developed, which enables effective and automated monitoring of the fulfillment of planned tasks for the current academic year.
• Free access to the analytical-legal system ZakonOnline has been organized for all students and employees of NNIHPG, allowing for quick retrieval of the necessary regulatory act, court decision, or legal position.
All computers in the educational and scientific laboratory were replaced with new and powerful ones (based on AMD Ryzen 3.2 GHz processors) in 2020.

In the educational and scientific laboratory of legal engineering, the following information-analytical systems are developed and constantly improved and filled with data:

'Individual Plan of the Lecturer'– an electronic journal that allows planning and monitoring of all types of activities of NNIHPG lecturers – educational, scientific, methodological, organizational, and educational, innovative.

'Applicant'– a relational database that allows analyzing students' preferences based on sociological surveys regarding:

• the choice of future profession;
• higher education institution;
• of the region and the country of further education;
• the desire to cooperate and receive information about education at NUVHP and NNI PGN in particular.

"Graduate"– electronic interconnected tables that store data about the graduates of NNI PG over the entire existence of the institute. The preserved information allows for the analysis of graduates' employment, their work in their field, and conducting comparative analyses of graduates from different years.

"Practice" –an information-analytical system that allows for the analysis of information about various types of internships undertaken by NNI PGN students. The system stores grades for the internship, information about internship locations, contract numbers, durations, etc.
