Educational Laboratory of Historical Source Studiesis
a structural unit of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law and Humanities
of the National University of Water Management and Nature Resources
(hereinafter referred to as the University), established to organize, coordinate, and
conduct research, educational-methodological, and expert activities in the
field of historical source studies.

The aim of the Laboratory's activities is to provide conditions for comprehensive study
of sources on the history of Ukraine and the world, the formation of historical memory, skills
in source analysis, critical thinking among students, as well as
the development of historical research using primary sources.

The main tasks of the Laboratory include:

- conducting fundamental and applied research in the field of historical
source studies;
- participation in the development and implementation of scientific projects that involve analysis
of historical sources;
- providing methodological assistance to students, graduate students, and teachers in
the use of historical sources;
- the formation of electronic and printed databases of sources, including
regional origins (Rivnenska, Volyn, Polissia);
- organizing scientific conferences, seminars, round tables, exhibitions
of sources;
- collaboration with museums, archives, libraries, educational institutions;
- ensuring practical training for higher education seekers in the courses
"Historical Source Studies", "Methodology of Scientific Research", "Historiography"
etc.;
- the development of academic integrity and the culture of working with sources.
