The department conducts scientific research on the comprehensive scientific theme "Innovative technologies for physicochemical, biological purification of natural and sewage water, resource-saving structures and equipment" (state registration number: 0124U003933).
In the past, at the request of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the department's staff conducted scientific research on the following topics: "Development of energy-efficient structures, equipment, and schemes for purifying natural and sewage water from settlements and industrial enterprises" (state registration number: 0118U001639); "Development of new and improvement of existing structures for intake, purification, and transportation of water for settlements and industrial enterprises" (state registration number: 0108U008519).
