Field Scientific and Technical Council of the Cheremskyi Nature Reserve

On June 5, a field meeting of the Scientific and Technical Council took place in the Cheremskyi Nature Reserve, chaired by the director of the reserve, Volodymyr Myrka.

Members of the Scientific and Technical Council participated in the meeting:

Vasyl Ivantsiv – Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Ecology Department, Head of the Ecology Department at Lutsk National Technical University, Deputy Chairman of the Scientific and Technical Council;

Borys Babelo – Head of the North-Western Interregional Forest and Hunting Department;

Ivan Danylyk – Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Director of the Ecology Institute of the Carpathians, NAS of Ukraine;

Vasyl Konishchuk – Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Landscape Protection, Biodiversity Conservation, and Nature Reserve Studies at the Institute of Agroecology and Natural Resource Management of NAAS, Chairman of the Committee on Nature Reserve Fund, Ecological Network and Biodiversity Conservation of the Public Council of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine, Head of the ecological association 'Western Polissya – Marshy Land';

Alla Pryshchepa – Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor, Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Agroecology and Land Management at the National University of Water Management and Nature Use;

Vasyl Korbutiak – Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Land Management, Cadastre, Land Monitoring and Geo-informatics Department at the National University of Water and Environmental Engineering;

Vitalina Fedonyuk – Doctor of Geography, Associate Professor at the Department of Ecology of Lutsk National Technical University;

Andrii Yatsyna – Head of the Volyn Nursery of the 'Forest Reproductive Resources' branch of the State Specialized Economic Enterprise 'Forests of Ukraine';

Tetiana Semeniuk-Patsamanyuk – Head of the Scientific Research Department of the Cheremskyi Nature Reserve, Deputy Chair of the Scientific and Technical Council;

Liudmyla Shpak – Researcher at the Cheremskyi Nature Reserve, Secretary of the Scientific and Technical Council;

Inna Kalitiuk – Researcher at the Cheremskyi Nature Reserve.

During the council's meeting, a number of issues regarding the reserve's operations, its international cooperation, and plans for celebrating its 25th anniversary were discussed.

Since the Scientific and Technical Council was dedicated to World Environment Day, the Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Agroecology and Land Management at NUVGP, Alla Pryshchepa presented Volodymyr Myrka with a gratitude note from the Rector of the National University of Water Management and Nature Resources Usage for his significant contribution to environmental preservation, tireless years of work in enriching Ukraine's nature reserve fund, implementing modern approaches to nature conservation, actively promoting environmental training, and forming ecological awareness in society, as well as for consistently defending the values of sustainable development and enhancing the country’s natural heritage.

At the end of the meeting, Alla Pryshchepa presented a discussion on the educational programs of the first, second, and third levels for students specializing in ecology and environmental protection technologies. As a result of the discussion, a number of proposals for improving the program were formulated.
