Participation of scientists from the Institute of Agroecology and Land Management in the International Ecological Forum
Scientists from the Institute of Agroecology and Land Management participated in the International Environmental Forum 'Environment for Ukraine', which took place on June 10 in Kyiv.
The event was attended by the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, the Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine, representatives of the European Union, UNDP in Ukraine, the diplomatic corps and international partners, state authorities and local self-governments, members of the Ukrainian parliament, representatives of business, the scientific community, and civil society.
The forum became an important platform for shaping a common vision of the priorities of Ukraine's state environmental policy in the context of recovery and European integration, as well as for establishing a substantive dialogue among the state, civil society, international partners, business, and the expert community.
Participants discussed current issues of environmental policy, the implementation of European environmental standards, biodiversity conservation, ecosystem restoration, international environmental advocacy of the war's impact on the environment, mechanisms for financing green transformation, the development of the circular economy, improvements to the environmental control system, natural resource management, and the introduction of sustainable development and energy efficiency tools.
Particular attention was paid to the challenges of environmental management in the context of martial law and in the context of Ukraine's European integration.
Within the Forum, thematic exhibitions were also presented, dedicated to Ukraine's protected natural areas, the impact of the war on the environment, modern environmental technologies, and the role of civil society in shaping environmental culture.
The forum became an important platform for developing joint solutions for the green recovery of Ukraine, attracting international support, and forming strategic approaches to the country's sustainable development.
