On June 11, the traditional All-Ukrainian scientific and practical online conference "Innovative Development of Agriculture Based on Ecological and Economic Balance" was held, organized by the Institute of Agriculture of the Western Polissya of NAAS in collaboration with the National University of Water Management and Nature Management.
The purpose of the conference is to discuss relevant issues in modern agriculture development, the implementation of innovative technologies, increasing soil fertility, rational use of natural resources, and ensuring ecological safety in agricultural production.
The director of the Institute of Agriculture of the Western Polissya of NAAS, Serhiy Tkachенко, and the director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Agroecology and Land Management of NUVHP, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Alla Pryshchepa, addressed the participants with welcoming words.
Scientists from the Department of Agrochemistry, Soil Science, and Agriculture named after S.T. Voznyuk, Ecology, Environmental Protection Technologies, and Forestry, as well as students of the first, second, and third levels of higher education in the specialties of Agronomy, Ecology, and Environmental Protection Technologies participated in the event.
Within the framework of the conference, scientific presentations were made regarding the environmentally safe use of nuclear power plant waste to stabilize acidic soils, enhancing sunflower fertilization efficiency in the conditions of Western Polissya, and forming fertility indicators of derno-podzolic soils under various fertilization and liming systems, as well as other pressing issues of agriculture and agrochemistry.
The participants exchanged results of scientific research, practical experience, and promising developments regarding the implementation of innovative approaches in agricultural production. Conducting the conference contributed to strengthening scientific cooperation among scientific institutions, higher education establishments, and representatives of the agricultural sector of Ukraine.
The conference confirmed the importance of combining ecological and economic aspects of agriculture development as the foundation for ensuring sustainable development of the agricultural sector.
