Participation in the expert dialogue
Director of the Institute of Agroecology and Land Management Alla Prishchepa, together with representatives of the NUWGP, participated in an expert dialogue with former Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Mykhailo Vynnytskyi on the topic 'New Opportunities for Business in the Context of Educational Reform.' The event was held as part of the Rivne Smart Challenge program.
The event was organized by the Smart People Business School and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Ukraine with the support of the Swedish government and the Rivne Regional Military Administration. Participants had the opportunity to communicate with business representatives, discuss the prospects for cooperation between education and entrepreneurship, and identify new opportunities for industry development.
NUWGP Vice-Rector Andrii Podlevskyi presented the university's readiness for deep integration with business during the discussion. In his report, he highlighted best practices of collaboration, particularly the experience of the Institute of Agroecology and Land Management. Currently, the institute has 12 branch departments that are actively involved in training specialists. For example, the branch of the Department of Agrochemistry, Soil Science, and Agriculture based in LLC 'Deddens Agro,' established in 2019, focuses on developing cooperation between the university and production. Its activities combine scientific research with practical experience, contributing to effective solutions for agro-technological challenges.
As part of the branch's work, students in master's programs undergo research and teaching practice, while a production practice is organized for bachelor's students. There is active interaction between teachers and specialists of the enterprise through participation in conferences, round tables, and constant experience exchange, particularly in the field of modern organic farming.
A separate focus is dual education, which involves combining study with work at enterprises. This allows students to acquire practical skills and enhances their employment opportunities: some graduates continue to work at enterprises after completing their studies, holding managerial positions.
