Participation in a working meeting on the formulation of water security policy
A working meeting was held under the chairmanship of Minister Oleksiy Sobolev, involving members of parliament, experts, scientists, and representatives of the public, dedicated to shaping Ukraine's water safety policy. Associate Professor of the Department of Ecology, Environmental Protection Technologies, and Forestry, PhD in Agricultural Sciences, I.I. Statnyk participated in the work. Participants discussed the implementation of integrated water resource management based on the basin principle, achieving "good status" of water in accordance with EU standards, and challenges during wartime. Special attention was paid to the reclamation reform, the need for infrastructure modernization and investment attraction, as well as ecosystem approaches to restoring water resources.
