Live stream with Tetiana Prybora, head of the ecological and educational work sector of the Chornobyl Radiation-Ecological Biosphere Reserve.
Students of the specialties in Ecology and Environmental Protection Technologies within the study of the academic discipline "General Ecology and Neoecology" joined an online stream featuring Tatyana Prybory, head of the ecological and educational sector of the Chernobyl Radiation-Ecological Biosphere Reserve. During the event, issues of natural ecosystem recovery in the exclusion zone after the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant disaster were discussed, particularly the processes of forming new ecological systems and the return of rare species of flora and fauna. Participants were acquainted with methods of scientific research on local nature, including monitoring and interpreting animal tracks, as well as the results of recent discoveries in the reserve's conservation and scientific activities. Special attention was given to the role of scientists in studying and documenting the dynamics of ecosystems that are recovering autonomously, without human intervention. Events of this type contribute to raising ecological awareness, popularizing scientific knowledge, and forming a comprehensive understanding of nature recovery processes in areas with restricted access.
