From June 29 to July 2, 2025, representatives of our university, Serhiy MARTYNOV, Head of the Department of Water Supply, Wastewater, and Drilling, and Alla KUCHEROVA, Head of the Grant Work Department, participated in the second working meeting of the project consortium.DIGISKILLS («Strengthening Digital Skills in the Water Sector Higher Education), which took place at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) in the city of Os (Norway). The event brought together researchers and experts from higher education institutions in Ukraine, Moldova, and countries of the European Union.
The meeting agenda focused on analyzing the current state of project implementation and coordinating further joint actions among partners. Participants discussed advancements in the modernization of educational programs and identified key areas for future development. Special attention was given to the formation of modern educational content that aligns with the challenges of digitalization in the sector.
An important element of the meeting was the educational seminars and practical training focused on the use of digital tools in the educational process. During the visit, participants also toured the research laboratories of NMBU and the wastewater treatment facilities in Oslo. The knowledge gained will be used to improve the educational process and approaches to teaching specialized subjects.
Participation was also held in the international conference IWA ICA2025 Oslo, dedicated to instrumentation, automation, and digital technologies in the water sector. Participants became acquainted with the latest scientific developments in the field of digital water quality monitoring, the use of large datasets, modeling tools, and elements of artificial intelligence to support decision-making processes.
