Scientists learned from the experience of German agricultural producers in Weidenbach.
From May 11 to May 17 of this year the third-level education degree seeker in the specialty 201 "Agronomy" Maria KRAINA, part-time assistant at the Department of Agri-Chemistry, Soil Science, and Agriculture together with her colleague Vladislav SOLodky (associate professor at the Department of Enterprise Economics and International Business) participated in the workshop "Collection, Processing, and Evaluation of Economic Data for Agricultural Management" organized by the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences (Germany) and held at the training center in the city of Weidenbach. As part of the Ukrainian delegation, which included colleagues from many agricultural colleges and universities in Ukraine, our educators participated in numerous educational and training activities: familiarization with the experience of working with databases in agriculture, calculating the costs for the maintenance and operation of agricultural machinery based on the statistical information platform KTBL; they were familiarized with practical calculations of marginal profit based on previously collected data from various farms in Ukraine. During the training, an interdisciplinary research project on the scientific analysis of agricultural producers' data, developed by German partners, was discussed. During their stay in Germany, various cities were visited. In particular, a greenhouse complex in the city of Dinkelsbühl; protected areas of the town of Murr am See and the historic streets of the city of Nuremberg.
Participation in the workshop, which was conducted as part of the DAAD project "German-Ukrainian Network of Agricultural Universities," in which our university is a participant, allowed familiarity with the experience of functioning German agricultural producers and interpreting its application in Ukraine.
Meetings were also held with instructors and coordinators of our cooperation – Professor
Ralf Schlauderer, instructors Lyudmyla Kamsin, Vadym Petrenko, and Doctor Kateryna Tuzhyk, who once again shared their experience with Ukrainian educators-scientists and created an extremely productive atmosphere throughout the entire period of the workshop.
