On May 4, 2026, as part of the Science Festival, a scientific and practical conference was held with the participation of master's students from the Department of Aquatic Bioresources on the topic: 'Implementation of the HACCP system at pond and fish processing enterprises.'
The event was organized at the initiative of the head of the Department of Aquatic Bioresources, Candidate of Veterinary Sciences Tetyana Poltachenko. The conference brought together higher education students, scientific and pedagogical workers interested in improving the standards of quality and safety of aquaculture products.
During the conference, relevant issues of implementing the HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) system in the operations of pond farms and fish processing enterprises were discussed. Master's students presented reports dedicated to identifying hazardous factors in production processes, determining critical control points, as well as practical aspects of developing and implementing effective food safety control systems.
Participants paid special attention to adapting international standards to the conditions of Ukrainian aquaculture enterprises, which is an important step towards integration into the European market and increasing the competitiveness of domestic products.
The conference served as an important platform for knowledge exchange, the formation of professional competencies of education seekers, and the promotion of scientific research in the field of aquatic bioresources and aquaculture.
