Representatives of the National University of Water Management and Nature Sciences joined the Forestry Campaign – 2026. As part of the initiative, new pine plantations were created in the Yasnohirske forestry of the Klesiv forest district of the Polissia Forestry Office of State Enterprise 'Forests of Ukraine' (compartment 49, section 45.1). The total area of the forest cultures amounted to 1 hectare.
During the meeting, the rector of NUWGS Viktor Moshynskyi, the director of the Nadsluchansk Institute of NUWGS Ihor Fizyky, and the director of the Institute of Agroecology and Land Management Alla Pryshchepa participated in the discussion of current issues regarding the training of students in the specialty 'Forestry', with the aim of improving educational and professional programs. The participants focused on modern challenges facing the industry, including climate change, the need for sustainable forest resource management, the restoration of damaged ecosystems, and the implementation of innovative technologies in forestry. It was emphasized the importance of forming relevant professional competencies in students, including practical skills in forestry management, ecological thinking, the ability to work with geographic information systems, making management decisions, and effectively responding to current challenges in the industry.
