XV Traditional Ecological Round Table on the Topic "The Environment Sector in the Implementation of Strategic Projects for the Reconstruction of Ukraine."

On April 23, as part of the Science Festival at the National University of Water Management and Nature Management, the XV traditional ecological round table took place on the topic 'The Environmental Sphere in the Implementation of Strategic Reconstruction Projects for Ukraine.'

The event was organized by the Rivne Small Academy of Sciences of Student Youth, the National University of Water Management and Nature Management, and the Rivne Regional Organization of the All-Ukrainian Ecological League.

The round table brought together scientists, educators, students, and schoolchildren interested in solving pressing environmental issues. The discussion focused on the ecological consequences of the war and approaches to the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine. Special attention was given to issues of air and water pollution, ecosystem degradation, and radiation impact risks.

 

The Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Agroecology and Land Management, Alla Prishchepa, emphasized the necessity of 'green' recovery for Ukraine, in compliance with environmental standards and sustainable development principles. The Head of the Ecology Department, Mykola Klymenko, drew attention to the relevant environmental problems in Rivne region.

The event involved teachers and students from the Department of Ecology, Environmental Protection Technologies, and Forestry of NUWMP, as well as scientists from the Educational and Scientific Institute of Agroecology and Land Management - Professor Bedunkova O.O., Associate Professor Budnik Z.M., and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Tourism and Hotel-Restaurant Business Yakovyshyna M.S. Biology teachers from educational institutions in the region also participated: Alla Petrivna Daniljuk from the Regional Scientific Lyceum in Rivne; Tetiana Volodymyrivna Dvorak from the Dubrovytsia Lyceum of the Dubrovytsia City Council; Ivanna Petrivna Vehera from the Volodymyretskii Lyceum 'Kolehium'; and Svitlana Myroslavivna Redkodubska from Kostopil Lyceum No. 4. Pupils of the Rivne Regional Academy of Sciences and schoolchildren from educational institutions in the region also took part.

The event was moderated by Anelina Danchuk, a methodologist from the Department of Ecology and Agricultural Sciences at the Rivne Regional Academy of Sciences.

An important part of the event was presentations by students and pupils who presented research on water quality, ecosystem status, biodiversity, innovative eco-materials, and environmental safety.

The event became an effective platform for exchanging experiences and scientific ideas aimed at shaping an ecologically responsible reconstruction of Ukraine.
