From May 7 to 14, 2026, a series of meetings of the scientific seminar 'Mathematical Modeling and Computational Methods' took place at the Institute of Information Technology and Computer Engineering. The program of the event united relevant research in the fields of information security, data mining, and quantum computing.
Program and topics of presentations:
Cybersecurity and OSINT
Topic: 'Combinatorial complexity and algorithmic foundations of OSINT data tokenization for generating targeted password dictionaries.'
Speaker: Babich Serhiy Vasylovych, associate professor of the Department of Computer Engineering at NUWGP.
Key aspect: the use of open data sources to optimize cryptographic protection.
Data mining
Topic: 'Methods and algorithms for intelligent analysis of time series of stock market dynamics based on a polynomial approach.'
Speaker: Kubai Oleksandr Vasylovych, senior lecturer of the Department of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics at NUWGP.
Key aspect: application of polynomial models for forecasting and analysis of market volatility.
Advanced computational architectures
Topic: 'Quantum computers.'
Speaker: Deineka Oleg Yuriyovych, Associate Professor of the Department of Higher Mathematics at NUWGP.
Key aspect: theoretical foundations and practical challenges of implementing quantum information processing systems.
The sessions were led by the scientific supervisor of the seminar – Ph.D., Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics, Bomba Andriy Yaroslavovych and the scientific secretary of the seminar – Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Technologies and Economic Cybernetics, Baranovsky Serhiy Vitaliyovych.
