Students majoring in 'Agroengineering' at the National University of Water Management and Nature Use became finalists in the student project competition 'Agrokebety Competition 2026'.
On April 30, 2026, a practical scientific competition of student projects was held, organized by the Agrokebety educational project and the MHP-Community charitable foundation with the support of HORSCH. The aim of the event was to identify and support innovative solutions that can increase the efficiency of agricultural production and promote sustainable development in the industry.
It is pleasing to note that three student projects from students majoring in 'Agroengineering' at the National University of Water Management and Nature Use reached the final of the competition. Among them are: 'Agroclasses' - a project aimed at popularizing agricultural education among schoolchildren and forming early career orientation; 'Vertical Farms' - an innovative solution for growing agricultural crops in controlled conditions using modern technologies; 'Mechanical Gardener' - the development of an automated plant care system incorporating elements of mechatronics and robotics.
The projects were evaluated by an expert jury, which included representatives from business, scientists, and industry specialists. The main selection criteria were innovation, practical value, economic efficiency, and the possibility of implementation in real production conditions. The finalists of the competition had the opportunity to present their developments to potential investors and representatives of the agribusiness sector.
Holding such events is an important step in shaping a new generation of specialists in the agricultural sector who can work in the context of digital transformation. The competition has become an effective platform for combining education, science, and business, contributing to the development of an innovative ecosystem in Ukraine's agro-industrial complex.
