On February 25, 2026, an exclusive webinar on the topic of 'Precision Farming Systems and Mechatronic Systems' was held for students specializing in 'Agroengineering' and agrarians, conducted by Associate Professor Taras Pylypaka. The event aimed to introduce modern technologies of digital agricultural production and intelligent systems for managing agricultural machinery.
During the webinar, key principles of the functioning of precision farming systems, which are actively implemented in modern agro-industrial production, were discussed. In particular, participants learned about the possibilities of using GPS navigation, automatic driving systems, sensors for monitoring soil and plant conditions, as well as digital platforms for managing field robots. Special attention was given to mechatronic systems in modern agricultural machines. The lecturer discussed the integration of electronic, mechanical, and software components in the design of modern equipment, which allows increasing the accuracy of performing technological operations, reducing resource costs, and enhancing the efficiency of agricultural production. During the webinar, students were also introduced to examples of the application of intelligent control systems for equipment, automatic seeding rate control systems, differentiated fertilizer application, and yield monitoring. Such technologies are the foundation of modern digital agriculture and open new opportunities for optimizing production processes. The holding of such webinars contributes to deepening students' professional knowledge, familiarization with cutting-edge technologies in the agricultural sector, and the formation of competencies necessary for work in the field of innovative agricultural production. Students had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss current trends in the development of precision farming systems.
The event became an important component of the educational process and contributed to increasing students' interest in modern digital technologies in agriculture.
