General Information

The Department of Water Engineering and Water Technologiesis one of the leading graduating departments of the university, which has its history dating back to 1928. Founded in Kyiv as part of the Melioration and Land Management Polytechnic (later Kyiv Hydro-Melioration Institute), the department was relocated to Rivne in 1960 after the relocation of the Ukrainian Institute of Water Management Engineers. Today, it is the oldest among related departments of water management and melioration profile in Ukraine.

The department actively participates in state accreditation of educational programs, the development of educational standards and teaching-methodological support, preparing specialists who play a key role in the rational use of water resources, their conservation, and land melioration.

The department trains engineers in the specialtyG19 'Construction and Civil Engineering'(for applicants starting from 2025) and194 'Hydrotechnical Construction, Water Engineering, and Water Technologies'(for applicants until 2025)

under the educational programs:

• First (bachelor's) level of higher education

'Hydrotechnical Construction, Water Engineering, and Water Technologies'

• Second (master's) level of higher education

'Water Engineering and Water Technologies'

• Third (educational-scientific, PhD) level of higher education

'Hydrotechnical Construction, Water Engineering, and Water Technologies.'
