The department actively develops international cooperation with various foreign institutions. In particular, the department's faculty is involved in the implementation of an international grant project: "Innovative Green Energy Fund 'InnovateUkraine'".S3RU – Safe, sustainable, and rapid reconstruction of Ukrainewhich is executed under the patronage of the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The department's scientists are directly participating in the implementation of the work package: "Assessment of the reactivity of the dispersed fraction of recycled concrete waste as a mineral additive to cement and concrete".
Familiarization of teachers with modern scientific achievements and practices in the field of construction took place through:
• Internship at a summer school organized as part of the project 'Program to Enhance Academic Cooperation for Promoting Restoration in Ukraine' (PEACE-R2UK) at Newcastle University (United Kingdom) (2023);
• Scientific internship at the Institute of Civil Engineering of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (2021) on the topic: 'European experience in training specialists in the field of 'Civil Engineering' in the discipline 'Technologies of modern resource-efficient construction materials'.
Joint scientific research activities and conferences are being held in accordance with cooperation agreements with Newcastle, Sheffield, and Leeds universities (United Kingdom), Cracow University of Technology (Poland), and Ariel University (Israel).
The results of such activities are reflected in numerous scientific publications in foreign journals, including co-authorship with foreign scientists.
In just one of the most prestigious scientific publishers in the worldCRC Press/Taylor & Francis Group (USA)four English-language monographs dedicated to the technology and design of modern construction materials have been published. In total, 12 monographs have already been published by the department's scientists in English in various publishers across Europe and the USA.
The faculty of the department under the leadership of Prof. L. Dvorkin actively publishes its scientific works in journals indexed by the Scopus scientometric database. Over the last 10 years, there have been more than 50 such publications. The department traditionally occupies the top positions in the ranking of the Institute and departments of NUWGP based on publication activity results in Scopus.
