General Information
The Department of Land Management, Cadastre, Land Monitoring, and Geo-informatics was established as an independent unit in 2013 as a result of the division of the Department of Land Management, Geodesy, and Geo-informatics. Initially, the newly established department was named the Department of Land Management and Cadastre, Land Monitoring. In 2014, it changed its name to the Department of Land Management, Cadastre, Land Monitoring, and Geo-informatics.
The beginning of the department's history can be considered the year 1992. At that time, due to the reform of land relations and the urgent need for specialists, at the initiative of Chernyaga P.H., the specialty 'Land Management' was opened, and the existing Department of Engineering Geodesy was renamed the Department of Land Management and Geodesy, which became a graduating department. At that time, the department was part of the Faculty of Design and Construction of Hydro-reclamation Systems. It was headed by Ph.D. in Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, later Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Honored Education Worker of Ukraine, Honored Geodesist of Ukraine, Honored Land Manager of Ukraine, and a full member of the Academy of Construction of Ukraine and the Academy of Higher Education Sciences of Ukraine, Chernyaga P.H.
During the establishment of the specialty 'Land Management', the department began to develop rapidly, significantly increasing its personnel potential and updating its material and technical base. For some time, the specialty 'Land Management' (later 'Land Management and Cadastre', 'Land Surveying and Cadastre') was part of the Faculty of Ecology and Land Management. Accordingly, the Department of Land Management and Geodesy was a structural unit of this faculty. In connection with the opening of a new specialty 'Geo-informational Systems and Technologies' in 2002, the department changed its name to the Department of Land Management, Geodesy, and Geo-informatics.
In 2003, a new Faculty of Land Management and Geo-informatics was created, which combined the specialties 'Land Surveying and Cadastre' and 'Geo-informational Systems and Technologies', and the Department of Land Management, Geodesy, and Geo-informatics, graduating in both specialties, became a structural unit of this faculty.
In various years, alongside the regular lecturers, highly qualified specialists from production worked at the Department of Land Management, Geodesy, and Geo-informatics: the head of the Rivne Regional Land Resources Administration Polischuk M.I. and Zusko A.M., the director of the Rivne branch of the state research and design institute 'NDI Project Reconstruction' Kovalchuk V.O., the head of the Rivne City Land Resources Management Melnichuk A.O., the technical director of the LLC 'Rivne ZKC' Koshitsky P.H. and others.
Throughout its entire existence within three different faculties, the department actively developed, and the number of teachers in 2013 exceeded 40 units, leading to the need for its division. The newly established Department of Land Management, Cadastre, Land Monitoring, and Geo-informatics was headed by Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Moshinsky V.S.
Since June 2019 to the present, the head of the department has been Cand. of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Lishchinsky A.G.
The current composition of the department consists of 10 teachers, including 1 Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, 1 Doctor of Philosophy, 6 Candidates of Technical Sciences, Associate Professors, and 2 Senior Lecturers. The department provides teaching for about thirty academic disciplines, the main ones being: 'Basics of Land Cadastre and Law', 'Cadastre', 'Land Management Design', 'Legislative Support for Real Estate Cadastre', 'GIS in Monitoring Tasks', 'Geo-informational Support for Cadastral Systems', 'GIS in Territory Management', 'Cadastre', 'Organization and Management of Production', 'Management of River Basin Territories', 'Management of Land Resources', 'Monitoring and Protection of Land', 'Regulatory Support for Land Management', 'Land and Real Estate Valuation', 'UAV Technologies for Spatial Planning', 'Methodology of Scientific Research', 'Management of Urbanized Territories', 'Territorial-Spatial Planning', 'Landscape Ecology'.
The department's teachers pay great attention to the improvement of the educational process and its methodological support. In particular, the following key educational manuals have been developed and published:
