Work of the examination commission and defense of master's theses
From December 22 to December 26, 2025, the work of the examination commission and the defense of master's theses of higher education seekers at the second (master's) level in the specialty 193 'Geodesy and Land Management' took place. Defenses were conducted in a mixed format – in-person and using distance technologies.
All master's theses were performed at a high methodological and theoretical level using real land-cadastre and statistical materials. A positive trend is the diversity of research directions, variety of topics, and active application of modern software and computer technologies.
The topics of the master's theses are formed in accordance with the requirements of the Laws of Ukraine, Decrees of the President of Ukraine, Resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. The selected topics are characterized by significant relevance and cover the issues of territorial-spatial planning of communities, justification for the use and protection of land, predictive assessment of territories, application of modern GIS technologies for solving applied tasks, monetary valuation of land, assessment of the accuracy of satellite observations, as well as the development of the land market in Ukraine.
During the development and defense of master's theses, students demonstrated a solid theoretical foundation and an appropriate level of practical skills in applying the acquired knowledge.
The master's theses performed by deserve special attention:

Based on the decision of the examination commission, the graduates were awarded the qualification of Master of Geodesy and Land Management in the specialty 193 "Geodesy and Land Management" (educational programs "Land Management and Cadastre", "Geoinformation Systems and Technologies").
on December 11, 2025, there was an open defense of practical works with in the discipline 'Territorial and Spatial Planning'by 4th-year students of the specialty 'Geodesy and Land Management'
During the semester, students attended lectures, performed practical works and worked on the development of educational projects onTerritorial and Spatial Planning of the community, which can be used for both diploma projects and other applied purposes. During the execution of such practical projects, students worked in teams, exchanged information and practical skills, learned to identify spatial conflicts and issues of specific territorial communities, and sought ways to resolve them. A pronounced interdisciplinary connection is evident, as it encompasses knowledge from land management, economics, and ecological planning for community development. As a result of the course, students prepared an individual work on the topic: 'Spatial Planning for the Development of Territories within a Territorial Community' according to the assigned content.
All work was carried out based on digital mapping using modern software. CStudents demonstrated good theoretical preparation and practical skills in applying acquired knowledge.
