Purpose of the zoology, anatomy and histology auditorium – aud. 200
· Conducting practical and laboratory classes for academic disciplines taught by the department's faculty;
· Conducting consultations for higher education seekers (on academic disciplines, practices, and individual assignments);
· Study of the Infra-class Jawed Fish (Gnathostomata). Superclass Fish. (Pisces).
· Superclass Tetrapoda or Terrestrial Vertebrates (Tetrapoda). Class Amphibia or Amphibians (Amphibia).
· Phylum Arthropoda. Subphylum Craniata. Subphylum Chelicerata. Subphylum Trachaeognatha. Phylum Mollusca. Phylum Echinodermata.
Purpose of laboratory 200-a and types of work executed:
· Study of research-oriented disciplines in educational and professional programs;
· Performing applied work on studying the processes of breeding and growing ornamental fish and plants;
· Conducting measurements of water environment parameters in a decorative aquarium;
· Researching the processes of cultivating feed organisms for feeding aquarium fish;
· Studying the patterns of inheritance of ornamental traits in breeding work with aquarium fish;
· Processing the results of observation of changes in individual ecosystems and the biosphere as a whole, predicting their consequences;
· Applying the acquired knowledge and skills in the field of ornamental aquaculture (servicing decorative aquariums, caring for hydrobiota in exhibition centers, growing ornamental fish as a personal business);
· Conducting individual scientific research by participants of student scientific circles and preparing for participation in scientific work competitions, subject Olympiads, and conferences.
Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture Laboratory (IMTA), room 504a
The laboratory was created with EU funds under the Erasmus+ projectAFISHE “Development of education in aquaculture and fisheries for the Green Course in Armenia and Ukraine: from education to ecology,” officially opened in June 2024.
In the IMTA laboratory, scientists and professors of specialized disciplines at undergraduate and master's levels share their experience with students on researching the technological aspects of growing promising subjects in recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS), determining parameters of rational feeding and physicochemical indicators of water quality, developing devices for restoring water quality, etc.
The laboratory promotes the intensive development of modern technologies and the training of modern specialists in the field of aquaculture.
Purpose of Laboratory 504-and types of work carried out:
· The laboratory serves as a practical base for students studying at NUVHP in the specialty 'Water Bioresources and Aquaculture'.
· The laboratory ensures the study of research-oriented disciplines within the educational and professional programs for training bachelor's and master's degrees in this specialty;
· Conducting individual scientific research for participants of student research groups and preparing for participation in scientific work competitions, subject olympiads, and conferences.
Purpose of audience 750 and types of work carried out:
· Conducting laboratory work on studying devices and equipment for fish research;
· Conducting laboratory work to determine necessary pond areas;
· Laboratory analysis of water quality based on feeding hydrobionts of water bodies;
· Processing the results of observations on changes in the species composition of fish in individual ecosystems and the biosphere as a whole, predicting their consequences;
· Application of theoretical knowledge in protecting the environment and rational use of natural resources;
· Conducting laboratory work on the collection of fish pituitaries;
· Laboratory analysis of water quality by temperature and oxygen content in water bodies;
· Conducting individual scientific research by members of student scientific clubs and preparation for participation in competitions of scientific works, subject Olympiads, conferences.
