Methodological guidelines for completing course projects have been developed and approved for the disciplines in the curriculum of the program. Students have been provided with textbooks and educational materials for the disciplines taught by the faculty at 100%. Own educational materials have also been prepared and are being prepared for publication.
The faculty, along with traditional teaching methods in the form of lectures, practical and laboratory classes, widely implement active forms of learning aimed at stimulating students' independent work, transitioning from simple reproduction of knowledge to its deep comprehension and creative use. In this respect, modern methods and innovative teaching technologies are introduced:
- modular study of the discipline and rating of students' knowledge;
- interactive methods of conducting classes;
- discussion classes - participation of the entire audience in discussing the problematic situations prepared by students;
- activation of perception of the content of disciplines through visual support of the educational process;
- situational tasks – models of professionally oriented situations, team-based student work;
- decision-making in specific situations of professional activity;
- testing of knowledge;
- application of computer programs in the educational process.
Students can access the most modern and relevant information in tourism through professional periodicals available in the reading room of the university and at the Department of Tourism.
According to the Regulation on the initiation, development, and approval of educational programs, project OPs undergo a unified coordination procedure, which includes internal and external expertise.
Internal expertise involves: graduating departments for the relevant specialty; the educational and methodological department of NUWGP; the scientific and methodological council on quality of the Institute; other internal stakeholders (higher education seekers and their parents, scientific and pedagogical staff).
External expertise is conducted by recognized specialists in the relevant field. In case of negative feedback from external stakeholders, the OP and NP projects are returned for revision by the project group (initiative group of the OP). Positive feedback from external stakeholders is the basis for a decision to recommend the OP for approval by the Academic Council of NUWGP. Potential employers and experts from higher education institutions of other countries are involved in external expertise.
