Graduates
The history of the Department of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics spans over 25 years. During this period, the department has prepared specialists in the following specialties:
· F1 (113) 'Applied Mathematics,' educational programs 'Applied Mathematics' (bachelor's and master's level);
· F3 (122) 'Computer Science,' educational programs 'Computer Science' (bachelor's level,PhD) and 'Applied Informatics' (master's level);
· F2 (121) 'Software Engineering' (transferred to the newly established Department of Software Engineering on February 16, 2026), educational programs 'Internet of Things' (bachelor's level) and 'Software Engineering' (master's level);
· F4 (124) 'System Analysis and Data Science,' educational program 'Data Engineering' (bachelor's level).
The first graduation of specialists in 'Applied Mathematics' took place in 2004. Bachelor's degree holders in 'Computer Science' first received diplomas at NUWGP in 2018, and in 2021, the first graduation of bachelor's degree holders in 'Software Engineering' occurred. In 2024, the department launched the educational program 'Data Engineering' within the specialty F4 'System Analysis and Data Science.'
Studying at the Department of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics at NUWGP is an excellent start to a successful career in various IT fields. This is evidenced by the achievements of many of our graduates. Having received a quality education, they have been able to build successful careers both in Ukraine and abroad. Yuriy Bruha, Petro and Yevheniya Savyuk, Andriy Onyshchuk, Volodymyr Rubich, Inna and Mykhailo Filatov, and other department graduates work in well-known corporations in Poland, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Belgium, and other countries. and even in Silicon Valley.
A significant number of our graduates work in Ukrainian companies. Our stakeholders includeSoftServe, RENOME-SMART, Zagrava Games,, Honeycomb SoftwareKTS, and others,whoandwithpleasure hire young specialists. Our graduates:

· In 2021 - Kamiya-Maxim Tea (maintainer of the open-source project GDAL.Netcore, lecturer, Rivne Professional College of Information Technologies), Sofia Orzhekhovska (Python back-end developer, Barvatech);
· In 2023 - Vitaliy Boyko (Co-founder, Wait What Interactive, lecturer, Rivne Professional College of Information Technologies);
· In 2024 - Andriy Nikolayenko (C# developer, Wait What Interactive, lecturer, Rivne Professional College of Information Technologies); Oleksiy Bubnov (Python developer, Framti Technologies, lecturer, Rivne Professional College of Information Technologies), Andriy Melnychenko (C# developer, Wait What Interactive; lecturer, Rivne Professional College of Information Technologies), Danylo Lahodniuk (Software developer, Seven Informatics Limited; founder of Filbert Games; lecturer, Rivne Professional College of Information Technologies), Ivan Uksusov (lecturer, Rivne Professional College of Information Technologies).
The high level and prestige of the education is evidenced by the fact that, over the years, siblings have studied at the Department of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics. Among them are Oleksa and Ihor Kushnyrs, Mykhailo and Vitaliy Boyko, Oleg, Iryna and Pavlo Khoma, Iryna and Yuriy Chuy, Myroslava and Mykhailo Rakovets, Vladyslav and Maksym Ossas and many others.
For many, the Department of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics has become a stepping stone in their scientific careers. Our graduates include Olha Michuta, Natalia Zhukovska, and Natalia Ivanchuk (associate professors at the Department of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics), Olena Belozerenova (senior lecturer at the Department of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics), Olha Bahniuk (senior lecturer at the Department of OT), Iryna Samolyuk (assistant at the Department of VM), and others. The PhD diplomas in computer science obtained by Marianna Turbal (2024), Serhiy Babych, and Liubov Shostak (2025) are significant confirmation of the high level of scientific achievements of the department and its ability to prepare competitive researchers.
The Department of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics continues to actively develop, combining long-standing educational traditions with innovative approaches to teaching. Modern educational programs, close cooperation with IT companies, students' participation in international projects, hackathons, and scientific research create a favorable environment for training highly qualified specialists. We take pride in the achievements of our graduates, their professional growth, and their contribution to the development of the IT industry in Ukraine and the world.
