Priority thematic direction of scientific research and scientific-technical developments:

information and communication technologies: technologies and means of mathematical modeling, optimization, and systems analysis for solving extremely complex problems of state importance;
fundamental scientific research: the most important fundamental problems of physical, mathematical, and technical sciences.

Main sub-directions of research (historically formed by Bomba A.Ya., Vlasyuk A.P., Kuzlo M.T., Martyniuk P.M., Safonik A.P., Turbal Yu.V.):

Development of methods of complex analysis and perturbation theory for modeling nonlinear processes with control, identification, and optimization;
Mathematical and computer modeling of technogenic controlled processes in porous media with barriers under conditions of data identification and assimilation;
Mathematical and computer modeling of nonlinearly perturbed controlled processes for liquid purification; Mathematical and computer modeling of the propagation processes of localized soliton-like disturbances in continuous media;
Data analysis and extrapolation methods; Computer modeling of information processes in social networks;
Mathematical modeling of controlled immunology processes taking into account spatial disturbances, concentrated influences under conditions of the body's thermal response.
