Rivne Economic and Technological Professional College
The separate structural unit "Rivne Economic and Technological Vocational College of the National University of Water Management and Nature Management" was established based on the Rivne Textile Technical School. The Textile Technical School in Rivne was founded according to the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Ukrainian SSR dated 20.03.1961. The institution welcomed its first students, a total of 90 individuals, in the administrative building of the flax mill. Just two years later, the technical school began an independent existence. In 1963, a separate building was constructed, two dormitories, a sports complex, and a cafeteria were put into operation. Besides the full-time program, evening and correspondence departments were opened. The material and technical base strengthened, all laboratories and classrooms were re-equipped with new equipment, and the technical school became a self-sufficient educational institution known far beyond the city of Rivne.
Year by year, the student body grows, new departments are launched, and training of specialists in new fields is carried out. Over its 60 years of existence, the institution has prepared nearly 30 thousand specialists for the light and textile industries. Among the college graduates are many well-known individuals in the area and beyond.
Today, the institution trains specialists under the OPS "professional junior bachelor" in 7 fields of knowledge and 9 specialties – 014 Secondary Education (Physical Education), 022 Design, 029 Information, Library, and Archival Affairs, 071 Accounting and Taxation, 076 Entrepreneurship and Trade, 133 Gas Engine Engineering, 141 Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics, 182 Technologies of the Light Industry, 242 Tourism and Recreation.
All college activities are carried out in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine, the Law of Ukraine "On Education", the Law of Ukraine "On Vocational Pre-Higher Education", other legislative acts of Ukraine, and resolutions and orders of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The total licensed capacity at the college is 410 individuals.
Today, 75 instructors and 2 production training masters pass on their knowledge and experience to the youth. Among the instructors: 42 have the highest qualification category, 1 has the honorable title of Ukraine "Honored Educator of Ukraine", 1 has the honorable title of Ukraine "Honored Architect of Ukraine", 2 have the academic title "Associate Professor", 13 have the pedagogical title "Instructor-Methodologist", 5 have the pedagogical title "Senior Instructor", 8 hold a scientific degree of "Candidate of Sciences", 2 have the badge of "Excellence in Education of Ukraine", 1 has the badge "Vassyl Sukhomlynsky", 1 has the badge "K.D. Ushynsky", 1 has the badge "Princess Olha", and 1 is a sports master of Ukraine in futsal. The average age of the college instructors is 38 years. The pedagogical collective is led by Viktor Volodymyrovych Demianyuk, a Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, an Excellence in Education of Ukraine, an academician of the Engineering Academy of Ukraine, and an instructor-methodologist.
