Kostopil Construction and Technology Vocational College

The history of the Kostopil Building and Technology College dates back to 1986, when a training base for the vocational school SPOTU No. 14 was established on the production site of the Kostopil Housing Construction Plant, with a planned intake of 450 students. The school trained qualified workers in various professions, who, upon graduation, were mainly directed for employment at the enterprise.
In 1997, by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine №170 dated June 9, 1997, Kostopil SPOTU No. 14 was liquidated and a branch of Vocational Lyceum No. 1 was created. The educational and material base of the school was located on the premises of the HCP.
Considering the relevance of multi-level education in the system of educational institutions of various levels in Ukraine, and taking into account the problems that arose in the vocational education system, specialized vocational school No. 10 in Rivne (established based on vocational school No. 10 and vocational school No. 38) and the Kostopil branch of Vocational Lyceum No. 1 were included in the structure of Rivne State Technical University as a new type of educational institution — Technical College (by order No. 1 of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 304 dated July 12, 2000).
In 2000 and 2001, work was conducted at the Kostopil division of the Technical College for licensing the training of junior specialists in the specialties:
5.092110 "Construction and Operation of Buildings and Structures" and 5.091627 "Chemical and Mechanical Processing of Wood and Wood Materials," which allowed the preparation of junior specialists in the specified specialties to begin in 2001.
In 2005, a new educational institution of a new type, the Kostopil Building and Technology College, was established based on the Kostopil Department of the Technical Lyceum of NU WGP, which became a separate structural unit of the National University of Water Management and Nature Management.
The teaching staff of the Kostopil Building and Technology College of NU WGP numbered about 65 teachers and masters of industrial training. Among them were those who continued to work and devoted many of their efforts to teaching in the educational institution, namely the teachers: Alekseychuk A.P., Kondratiuk V.S., Rubel M.V., Mykhalyuk N.M., Pinchuk R.O., Alekseychuk Zh.V., Bahynskyi I.A.
The Kostopil Building and Technology College of the National University of Water Management and Nature Management became one of the youngest educational institutions in our region, but over the years of its activity, it has become a leading higher educational institution of I-II accreditation levels in the northwest region of the area with promising construction specialties and professions not only in the city of Kostopol but also in the region.
During the 2008-2009 academic year, the NU WGP Building and Technology College was accredited in two graduating specialties: 5.092110 "Construction and Operation of Buildings and Structures" and 5.091627 "Chemical and Mechanical Processing of Wood and Wood Materials."
During its existence, the college has formed a creative teaching staff that persistently and passionately implements new pedagogical and informational technologies, as well as the best achievements of advanced pedagogical experience in its work. Teachers, solving new tasks set before educators by life, work in creative cooperation, continue the best traditions of their predecessors, combining general didactic methods of teaching and education. The teaching staff includes senior teachers, and on a contractual basis, professors and candidates of sciences from leading departments of the National University of Water Management and Nature Management work. Lectures in subjects are provided by teachers of the highest categories with extensive experience.
In 2013, the Kostopil Building and Technology College was renamed the Kostopil Building and Technology College of the National University of Water Management and Nature Management. To ensure the educational and methodological support of disciplines and practical training, cycle methodological commissions were created, which are structurally united by profile: a cycle commission of teachers of special disciplines and masters of industrial training for the preparation of qualified workers, teachers of professional disciplines in the specialty "Construction and Civil Engineering," teachers of professional disciplines in the specialty "Chemical Technologies and Engineering," social and socio-economic disciplines, philological disciplines, physical and technical, mathematical, computer disciplines, and physical education; general technical and natural sciences disciplines. The main goal of the college's activities is to ensure continuous education in the system of vocational schools – college – university (qualified worker obtaining worker professions, related specialties of junior specialists, and continuing education in higher educational institutions to obtain a bachelor's degree — specialist — master's degree) by preparing highly qualified specialists capable of working in modern conditions of the market economy, fostering scientific knowledge, creative thinking, national consciousness, and high human qualities.
The administration of the college, led by Director Andriy Petrovich Alekseychuk, oversees the work of all the college's structural divisions, addresses educational and developmental issues, and monitors the implementation of the set tasks, with meetings held weekly.
The Construction and Technology Vocational College of NUVHP is a new type of educational institution that meets the requirements of social and economic development of society, defining the objective prerequisites for transitioning to a continuous education system. A fundamental feature of this system lies in the diversity of methods, means, and organizational forms of the educational process. One of the main advantages is that it allows for the promotion of the most talented and well-prepared students to higher levels of education and professional realization.
