The scientific directions of the research laboratory are:
• conducting fundamental, exploratory, and applied scientific research in the field of water supply and treatment of surface and groundwater for drinking purposes and industrial needs;
• conducting scientific research aimed at creating new effective methods and technological schemes for the treatment of wastewater from sewage treatment plants and drainage systems.
The main areas of activity of the research laboratory are:
• developing measures to intensify the operation of existing water treatment plants, developing factory-manufactured installations for local water supply systems;
• implementing the polystyrene filters and technological schemes for water treatment with these filters developed at the Department of Water Supply, Sewerage, and Drilling;
• developing standards and adjusting water consumption norms in settlements and at industrial enterprises;
• providing assistance to enterprises in implementing the results of completed research from the laboratory into production and carrying out author's supervision;
• developing simulation models of water supply and distribution systems;
• developing recommendations for intensifying the operation of existing treatment facilities, implementing new progressive wastewater treatment processes;
• providing assistance to enterprises in the agro-industrial complex in addressing issues of designing and commissioning new sewage treatment facilities and operating existing ones;
• providing services for chemical-analytical control of environmental objects, determining the physicochemical quality indicators of surface, groundwater, wastewater, and drinking water.
