As part of the ISDEGO project, a two-week internship for students has been completed at the Transilvania University of Brașov.
During the second week of mobility, participants actively engaged in educational and research activities organized by the Department of Automotive and Transport Engineering. Students attended lectures and practical sessions on various topics: analysis of traffic flows (the number and type of vehicles, speed, traffic intensity, density); modeling of transport processes using the PTV VISSIM software suite;
modeling of transportation noise and creating noise maps; evaluation of Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMP) as a tool for the formation of inclusive and sustainable transportation systems in accordance with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG No. 11).
On the last day of mobility, students made an educational and practical visit to the area. Coresi in Brașov, designed according to the "15-minute city" concept. The discussion addressed the accessibility of residents and visitors to public transport, parking areas, educational institutions, shopping and medical centers, recreational areas, company offices, parks, cycling infrastructure, and social services.https://coresi-avantgarden.ro/.../03/Masterplan-final.pdfIn addition to the educational program, participants had the opportunity to explore the tourist, social, and cultural features of the city of Brașov and its surroundings. Over the course of two weeks, they experienced the change of three seasons — spring, winter, and summer.
