Department of Constitutional Law and Sectoral Disciplines

The Department of Constitutional Law and Sectoral Disciplines is one of the structural divisions of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law and Humanities of NUVHP, which provides fundamental training for higher education seekers and promotes the formation of highly qualified lawyers capable of working in the field of public administration, law enforcement practice, and research activities.

The Department of Constitutional Law and Sectoral Disciplines became the legal successor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, which was established in February 2013. From February 2013 to February 2015, the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, together with the graduating Department of Special Legal Disciplines, provided teaching of all legal subjects at NUVHP and the specialty 'Law'. In connection with the establishment of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law in February 2015, the Department of Theory and History of State and Law was reorganized and renamed to the Department of Constitutional Law and Sectoral Disciplines.

The department is an important center for forming the professional and worldview foundation of future lawyers, combining educational and scientific activities, and facilitating the integration of students into the modern legal space of Ukraine and Europe.

Educational programs and specialties

The department's activities are focused on the implementation of the educational-professional program (EPP) for the specialty 'Law' (first bachelor's level), which meets the current challenges of society and the needs of the labor market.

The main goal of the EPP 'Law' (first bachelor's level) isthe training of highly qualified specialists in the field of jurisprudence, capable of:

- solving complex professional tasks and issues of law-making and law enforcement;

- ensuring Ukraine's national interests regarding sustainable development of civil society and the state;

- to adhere to and protect the constitutional rights and freedoms of individuals and citizens;

- to successfully carry out professional activities at Ukrainian and international levels.
