THE FIRST STAGE OF THE ALL-UKRAINIAN STUDENT OLYMPIAD IN SPECIALTIES "THERAPY AND REHABILITATION" AND "PHYSICAL CULTURE AND SPORT" TOOK PLACE AT THE NNIOZ
The first stage of the All-Ukrainian student Olympiad in the specialties 'Therapy and Rehabilitation' and 'Physical Culture and Sports' took place at the Training and Research Institute of Health Care. The event, held on March 12-13, 2026, aimed to identify gifted youth, stimulate the creative work of students, and improve the quality of training for future specialists.
The competitive program of the Olympiad consisted of two key blocks, allowing for a comprehensive assessment of the participants' professional training level:
the theoretical part – included 20 test questions aimed at checking fundamental knowledge of rehabilitation cycle disciplines.
the practical part – involved demonstrating skills in rehabilitation assessments, scientific justification of therapeutic exercise methods, and forming professional recommendations.
Participants' results were assessed on a 120-point scale, followed by conversion to a 100-point system to ensure objective ranking.
According to the decision of the professional jury chaired by the head of the department, Professor Natalia Yevhenivna Nesterchuk, the award places were distributed as follows:
1st place – Nadiya Serhiyivna Petrovskaya (group FTE-31), who demonstrated the highest result – 97 points.
2nd place – Sofia Vyacheslavivna Korniychuk (group FTE-31), with 92 points.
3rd place was shared by students of group FTE-11 Oleksandra Oleksiyivna Rachok and Ilona Yuriyivna Simonovich, each scoring 88 points.
Meanwhile, at the Department of Theory and Methods of Physical Education, future coaches competed for victory. The Olympiad showed that the students of the Training and Research Institute of Health Care possess not only physical endurance but also a solid theoretical foundation. The competitive program also consisted of two blocks:
the theoretical – included 20 test questions aimed at checking the fundamental training of future specialists;
the practical block – involved demonstrating and scientifically justifying the technique of performing exercises in general physical training according to professional themes.
The winners are:
1st place – Roman Mykolaiovych Staryk (group FKS-21) with a score of 90.5 points.
2nd place – Oleksandra Hrihorivna Markopolska (group FKS-11) scored 89.0 points.
3rd place – Tetiana Oleksandrivna Ostrovska (group FKS-31) has 87.3 points.
