In Rivne, on the territory of the Historical Reconstruction Park 'Ostvytsia', a large-scale sports rehabilitation event 'WITHOUT BORDERS' took place. The event united veterans, female veterans, active military personnel, and individuals with war-related disabilities, who demonstrated iron endurance, strength of spirit, and true solidarity.
This initiative became not only a sports challenge but also an important space for support, communication, and unity. It promotes physical rehabilitation, social adaptation, and creates a powerful atmosphere of mutual assistance among our defenders.
Participants tested their strength in uncompromising sports and team disciplines.
The main competitive program included:
- bench press (50% of their own weight);
- kettlebell snatch and press (16 kg);
- holding 35 kg dumbbells for time;
- team rowing on authentic dragon boats.
Additional locations were available for event guests:
- archery;
- LLog Lift (lifting a log weighing 30 and 60 kg);
- children's entertainment area.
The team of the Educational and Research Institute of Health Care (NUIHP) played a significant role in organizing the holiday:
- One of the co-organizers of the event was our student in higher education – a first-year student majoring in 'Physical Culture and Sports' Pavlo Korytniuk. Other students of the same major actively participated as assistants in the competitions.
- A high-class recovery zone was set up at the location, where veterans could take advantage of massage and taping services provided by instructors and students specializing in 'Therapy and Rehabilitation'.
Thanks to such a reliable support system, we are capable not only of organizing individual events but also of implementing long-term programs, opening new horizons for veterans, and involving more people in adaptive sports.
Thank you to everyone who became a part of 'BEYOND BORDERS'! Together we are strong!
