At the end of May, a prestigious international multi-sport festival 'Best' concluded in Bukovel, which this year became a platform for veteran competitions. Powerful teams of veterans from Ukraine, the USA, Ireland, and Estonia participated in the tournament.
A true sensation of the competition was first-year student of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Health Care (group FKS-11) Pavlo Korytyuk. Our athlete emerged as the absolute leader in strength and functional disciplines, winning four gold medals:
- strength endurance – in the bench press with 100 kg for the maximum number of repetitions in 1 minute.
- cardio sprint – in rowing on the Concept 2 machine over a distance of 500 meters.
- weightlifting – in the clean and jerk of two kettlebells weighing 32 kg for repetitions in 1 minute.
- functional training – in maximum calorie burn on the air bike in 60 seconds.
Pavlo's success is not just a sporting achievement, but a demonstration of the effectiveness of adaptive sports and the iron character of Ukrainian veterans. We congratulate our defender and student on his phenomenal result!
