On March 23, 2026, at the National University of Physical Education and Sports of Ukraine (Kyiv), the defense of Olga Magnushova's dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the specialty 227 'Physical Therapy, Ergotherapy' took place. The research was supervised by Doctor of Science in Physical Education and Sports, Professor Olena Lazareva, and Doctor of Philosophy in Health Sciences Enemark Larsen Anett, ensuring a high level of scientific validity and international integration of the study.
The official opponent was the head of the Department of Therapy and Rehabilitation, Nesterchuk Nataliya Yevhenivna.
The dissertation topic: 'Using the Canadian Tool for Performance Evaluation to Enhance Client-Centeredness and Occupational Focus of Ergotherapy Services in Ukraine' is extremely relevant in the context of the current transformation of the rehabilitation assistance system in Ukraine and the implementation of international approaches to service delivery.
In her review, Professor Nataliya Nesterchuk noted the high level of scientific novelty, practical significance of the research results, and their potential for integration into the national system for training specialists and the practice of ergotherapy.
The defense was conducted at a high scientific level with the participation of leading specialists in the field. Following the results of the public defense, the specialized academic council made the decision to award Olga Magnushova the degree of Doctor of Philosophy.
