TRIUMPH IN LUTSK: NNIOS STUDENTS BECAME UKRAINIAN CHAMPIONS IN WAKO KICKBOXING
From April 15 to 18, 2026, a significant event in the world of martial arts took place in the city of Lutsk – the Ukrainian Championship in WAKO kickboxing for adults. Simultaneously with the championship, the All-Ukrainian tournament was held in honor of Vitaliy Tymofeev and the heroes who gave their lives for the independence of Ukraine.
The team from Rivne region was strengthened by representatives of the Training and Scientific Institute of Health Protection of NUWGP, who demonstrated incredible results, winning gold and professional recognition.
The gold results of our students:
- Anna Nikitchuk (group TR-11) – having fought two difficult and technical matches, Anna became the Champion of Ukraine among adults. Based on her performance, she successfully met the standard for Candidate for Master of Sports in WAKO kickboxing.
- Bohdan Sytnyk (group FKS-11) – made his way to the final through fierce battles and was selected to participate in the prestigious gala evening. In the final match, Bohdan showcased an unbreakable strength of character, winning the gold medal and the title of Champion of Ukraine.
The institute's successes are not limited to the ring. Student Ilona Simonovich from group TR-11 served at the competition as part of the judging panel. Due to her quality work and high level of preparation, Ilona received the National Judging Category.
The high results of the trainees were made possible thanks to the professional support of the delegation leaders:
Iryna Oleksiivna Orlov – senior lecturer of the TMFV department;
Volodymyr Serhiyovych Starykov – senior lecturer of the physical education department.
