During the seminar dedicated to modern approaches to taping, participants of the scientific club Rehab-Skills: assess, compose, implement received systematic knowledge about the use of kinesiology tapes in rehabilitation practice.
The theoretical part included familiarizing participants of the scientific club Rehab-Skills: assess, compose, implement with the mechanisms of taping, particularly its effects on muscle tone, lymphatic drainage, pain reduction, and improved proprioception. Participants of the scientific club Rehab-Skills: assess, compose, implement also reviewed the main types of tapes, the rules for their application, and key principles for safe use.
In the practical part, participants of the scientific club Rehab-Skills: assess, compose, implement practiced basic taping techniques for various anatomical areas: cervical region, shoulder joint, lumbar spine, and lower limbs. Special attention was paid by the participants of the scientific club Rehab-Skills: assess, compose, implement to the correct tape tension, application direction, and assessment of intervention effectiveness.
During the discussion of clinical cases, participants of the scientific club Rehab-Skills: assess, compose, implement determined the appropriateness of using taping as an auxiliary method in comprehensive rehabilitation, as well as analyzing typical mistakes and possible complications.
